Bunaka didn’t have the heart to tell Aear that he was actually stopped in front of one of the nicest restaurants in the city, and that he had never truly lost his bet. He simply didn’t mind. Something about Aear made him quite at ease, regardless of what he was trying to do.
He took a step forward just as Terra swerved her head around to look at him. The sudden movement once again caused Bunaka to jump backwards and for the second time, land on his backside. “She can come!” he shouted after being startled, “But keep her the heck away from me!”
Terra squawked indignantly. Bunaka didn’t care. He stood and then said, “Oh, we should probably at least get some food to go then. Lord knows Jin’ll have forgotten to pack something and will be starving by the time we get there.”
He looked at Aear, “Do you know of any good food stands between us and wherever it is you’re taking me?”
“BESIDES fruit?” he added remembering all the rotting fruit in Jin’s shack.

Kagoshi finally made it back to her house, having run all the way from the forest. Her rest was shortlived bcause she was only there to wash and change. Her new outfit consisted of a white shirt with green trim, and a white-and-green plaid skirt. She slipped on green slippers and quietly brushed her hair, leaving it down so that it swayed messily down to her butt. She saw at least five letters from Syoaran slipped under the door. Kagoshi took one look at the letters, and threw them in the fireplace. She pointed her finger at them, and watched for a moment as they burned. Then, she left, disguised as Kagoshi to find Aear herself, her backpack trailing behind her, to find Aear herself.

Aear couldn’t help but laugh. This was the most fun she had had in quite some time and she was glad that happiness and laughter had come back into her life.
She leaned forward and rubbed Terra’s neck while murmuring something in her ear about taking it easy on Bunaka. She then sat up straight and though about Bunaka’s inquiry. “Weeeell,” she began slowly, “there is a noodle place a few shops down from here. And there’s a bakery a bit past that.” she suggested. Besides those two places, she was brain dead as to a place they could grab something to eat.

"Sounds good to me," Bunaka said dusting himself off. "Its too nice of a day to pass up a picnic anyway, right?" he said looking up at the beautiful blue sky above them.
He followed as Aear led him to the noodle stand where he purchased a couple boxes of their finest noodles. They then crossed the street and purchased some rolls and sweet buns for dessert. However, Bunaka noticed something was missing.
"Where's the meat? Jin'll want some, and I know I'm dying for it too," Bunaka said to Aear. He started looking around the street as there was bound to be a butcher shop or a stand that sold cooked beef around here some where.

Jin had finished the long trek back to the village. It was an exhausting walk, but he made it with plenty of time to spare. He made his way to the end of town where Aear had taken him before. It wasn't too hard to find. There were still all the evidence of his bending all around the clearing. He went to the river and drank first, his throat screaming for liquid. After he had his fill he used his bending to put the Earth back to an attempted resemblance of what it was before he had practiced. His Master had always taught him that bending was a privilege and that the Earth was ALLOWING him to wield it. Therefor he needed to treat it with respect.
Now that the practice area was in better condition Jin decided to rest up for the afternoon's actual events. He walked to tree and fell asleep under its shade.

Aear nodded. The weather was great and her spirits were high. It seemed nothing could go wrong today.
Aear placed the noodles and bread in her bag. She figured that they now had everything they needed so mounted and pointed Terra in the direction of the training spot. Before they could get a step however, Bunaka spoke. Aear pulled Terra around to face Bunaka. “Uh, meat?” she said distractedly. “Well, I’m not sure where the butcher shop is. I don’t eat meat.” she told Bunaka.

Kagoshi hopped over the fence of her house, her hair waving. Since her hair started getting in her face, she knelt down by a pond at the end of the road and used her reflection to tie it into a ponytail using a ribbon from her backpack.Suddenly, her stomach growled. "Oh no, not this," she groaned." At least I brought coins from home. And I put it in the most secure ever! Heh, you stink Bunaka.I out-thought you. The coin case is in my bra." She laughed and headed into the square, looking for something to eat."I guess I'll have to look at my map." She pulled out her map and examined it,yawning."Oh, there's a bakery. Yum. I could really use some carbs, to boost me."

“The sustenance of the Gods?! What are you, crazy?!” exclaimed Bunaka. “Well, to each their own,” sighed Bunaka watching Aear’s face turn quite stern.
“Let’s just head towards Jin, and see if we can’t stumble across something,” Bunaka said eyeing the rest of the square. Aear, not minding the fact that Bunaka had dropped the subject of dead animals so quickly, nodded agreement and led him towards the end of the square in the direction of her training area. As they walked, a large cart carrying plenty of small game hung from its roof.
“Ah, perfect,” Bunaka said to himself. As they approached the cart Bunaka slipped a small blade from his belt and a few copper coins from his pouch. Just before they reached the cart he turned on Aear and addressed her ride.
“Alright you,” he whispered, “I don’t like you, and you don’t like me. But help me out and I promise I’ll find you something better than apples to chew on.” Terra simply starred at Bunaka. Accepting her silence as consent he slapped her square on the beak.
Terra let out a huge squawk of rage and charged Bunaka. Leaping backwards and shouting vulgarities at Aear and Terra Bunaka ran past the cart screaming, “Crazy bird! Didn’t that thing know I was WALKING there!”
As Bunaka circled the cart with Terra in tow he cut loose two rabbits. He let his money, which ended up being heavily discounted, fall on the counter as he bolted away from the cart, feeling quite certain that the raging ostrich horse would keep the butcher to busy to notice the missing merchandise.

Aear gave Bunaka a harsh look but then rolled her eyes. He was right, it was not a big deal. She turned Terra around once again and headed off to the training ground.
The crowds on the street were thinner then they had been earlier in the day. This was nice as Terra didnt always do well in big crowds. People were returning from work or finishing up shopping. It was a comfortable ride. Aear let her eyes wander over the peoples faces. She nearly slipped off Terra's slick feather back as Bunaka stepped in front of her. "Wha--" but she cut off as she saw that Bunaka was actually talking to Terra. "What an intresting development." she thought.
She watched the brief conversation and had no time to protest against the beak slap. Terra jolted forward and Aear was simply along for the ride. Her eyes glued to Bunaka, she saw him cut loose two rabbits. She did her best not to smile but instead tried to look mischevious so as not to tip off the cart owner. She let Terra run another lap around the cart before yanking her off Bunaka's tail and towards the training ground.

Slipping the rabbits onto his belt under his traveling cloak. Bunaka dashed away from the cart as Aear pulled Terra off the chase. As she wondered off through the crowd shouting her apologize to the owner, Bunaka double backed and picked his way through the busy shoppers as he moved to reach Aear's side again.
"Alright Terra," Bunaka smiled coming back to the two, "Here's your payment.:" With that Bunaka produced a charred newt from his pocket and held it for Terra to eat. After an awkward moment as the bird decided whether or not to accept the treat, she did with a bitter look.
"Yeah yeah," Bunaka said apprehensively, "Next time I'll warn you before I do anything like that. So Aear, where are you taking me?"

Terra munched on the newt, all the while giving Bunaka a sour look.
On her back, Aear was resituating herself. The ride hadnt exactly been easy. Pushing her hair out of her eyes, she looked down at Bunaka. "Oh, its not much further. Just a little spot outside of town. Its got a nice stream and plently of open space." she told him, still rather bitter about his plan to get some meat. Honestly, it was just meat!! But oh well, it was done with now. "Lets go, we dont want it to get dark before we even get there!" she said, kicking Terra forward.
A few moments later, they reached the training spot. It was peaceful and quite. Several birds were the only thing that removed total silence. Aear swung her leg over Terra's back and landed with a thud. Giving Terra a pat, she said, "Go ahead and graze but dont go to far." The ostrich horse walked off and Aear glanced over the area. Her first run over showed no sign of Jin but a second time and she spotted something. A figure was laying under a tree and she could only guess that it was Jin. "Well, what do you think?" she asked Bunaka, setting her bag down by a group of rocks.

Bunaka looked around. It was big. And open. It was nothing hadn't seen a thousand times before. But he knew Aear was clearly quite pleased with it. And there most certainly wasn't anything WRONG, so Bunaka simply said, "Its nice. Big and open. Thats good. Ginger and I can make quite a mess when we spar."
Bunaka was survaying the land when he saw Jin, sleeping under his tree. "Speak of the devil," Bunaka said in a hushed voice as he took a few steps towards Jin.

Aear couldnt help but chuckle at Bunaka's nickname Jin. She pulled her hair back as she watched Bunaka close in on Jin. A brilliant idea suddenly popped into her head. She moved forward and put a hand on Bunaka's shoulder to stop him. "I have a better idea." she said softly.
She went to the river and pulled a small sliver of water from its still surface. She then began to walk towards Jin, the water dancing infront of her. When she was a few feet from him, she positioned the water over his head and formed it into a sphere. She looked over her shoulder at Bunaka and gave him a sly smile. With that, she brought her hands away and let the water fall straight onto Jin's unsuspecting head.
