Aear went over to the usual cushion she sat on when she visited Aina. It was across the room from where Jin had decided to seat himself. She watched Aina get to work on Kagoshi. She had aided Aina before but only with cases where the problem was aparent. Kagoshi's, however, was a complete mystery so the only thing Aear could do was inform her of its possible source. Having already done this, she simply remaind behind incase Aina needed any assistance. She looked around the room she visited so frequently. She liked it. It was like being hidden from the prying eyes of the world outside. As she let her eyes wander, they came again to Jin. She now wondered why he had stayed. It would be perfectly fine with her if he had left. He obviously didnt know Kagoshi so it seemed unlikely that the drive of hearing her outcome made him stay. Her eyes flicked onto Aina once again before she got up a strode across the room and occupied a cushion next to Jin's. She pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapped her arms around them and faced Jin. "Was there something you wanted to ask me or tell me? I mean, I dont think you came over just to introduce yourself and tell me you knew I was a bender, did you?" she asked, sounding much more casual and easy to talk to.

Kagoshi was dreaming. Her mother was sitting, smiling at her. She reached for her, but she flew up in flames. Kagoshi sat up, wide awake. She noticed that the boy was staring at her. She took a moment to take in her surroundings. She was in a purple hut, and an old woman was standing near her. Then, a sudden pain shot through her arm. "Ack," she gasped, clutching her sleeve. Then, she pulled it up to find a deep gash she must have gotten when she scraped the pipe on the roof.It was bleeding softly. She opened her bag and found ointment and cloth.Kagoshi started cleaning her wound vigerously. The women moved forward as if to help, but Kagoshi shook her head. Then, she wrapped her wound in cloth and tied it tight. She slid herself off the table. She addressed the girl with blonde hair and the boy. "I'm sorry I have caused you so much trouble. As I said, I'm Kagoshi. I come from the F-I mean, a different town," she smiled weakly as she bowed her head, tears coming back to her eyes." I hope I can repay you by inviting you to dinner tonight. You see, today's my birthday.I know you may think this is odd, but it's the only way I can think of." Then she broke off. She buried her face in her hands. She was so stupid! she thought to herself, Why was she asking them to dinner?First, they carry her here. Then, she acts like some complete wacko and invites them to dinner. Why doesn't she just give them each money and walk off?! Wait, she told herself, even if I can't thank them properly, I still need to try. I barely know anyone here, and I need.... I need to try! She looked up at them hesitantly, her eyes wide.
PS: Just wanted to tell you I love roleplaying with you guys. I look forward to it almost every day! I hope you feel the same *smiles warmly*

Jin was lost in the darkness. The dim room made it hard to focus and the aromas of the medicinal hut was making his head dizzy. Before succumbing to sleep entirely, Aear had sat next to him. She seemed to hesitate for only a moment before asking him why he sought her out.
Blushing slightly, he stuttered his reply, “Er… well, kinda. That is, I didn’t quite… know you were a bender.” After all that had happened thus far, explaining his actions was just about the LAST thing Jin expected to be doing. Still, he tried to go on, “You see, my Master. He trained me long ago to look for signs of benders. He always said that knowing an opponent’s limits and abilities is the first step toward winning a fight…. Not that you’re an enemy!” he added quickly as confusion crossed Aear’s face.
“UGH! I’m not doing well,” Jin though. Massaging his right temple with his hand Jin started again, “I’ve been…. Well… I’ve been watching you. I’ve seen enough of the way your body moves, the rhythm of your steps, and your hands all have tell tale signs of someone who can move the elements.”
“Heh. But I seem to let my Master down. I have no idea what kind of bending you can perform, or how good you are at it,” Jin finished with a sigh. “Not that this is enough excuse to just jump out at you, but I just can’t seem to…” Jin stopped himself before he revealed how often he had thought of Aear this week. “Er, I was hoping to find someone to assist in my training,” he covered with a lie.
But before Aear could respond, Kagoshi sat up from the table. Aina stepped back quickly spilling some of the contents on her work tray to the floor. Jin went silent as Kagoshi finished Aina’s work and patched up her arm and strode across the room straight to Aear and himself. She then did just about the weirdest thing. She asked them to dinner.
Being taken off guard by the gesture, Jin quickly said, “I’m sorry, I really should be getting home.” He then jumped out of the cushion and headed for the door. Embarrassed about his conversation with Aear and the impromptu invite he couldn’t wait to leave. But as he got to the door, that nagging in the back of his head wouldn’t let him leave. “It was her birthday…. And besides, you aren’t truly finished with Aear,” it said to him.
“Er,” Jin said without turning. “Actually, I ran out of food this afternoon and with all the events haven’t gone shopping yet,” another lie couldn’t hurt anyone. “I’d be honored to join you, that is. If Aear here comes…”

Aear watched him as he tried to explain his actions. She tried very hard to suppress her giggles. Even in the dim lighting, she saw his face flush ever so slightly. She was quite impressed, however, by his ability to label someone as a bender. Her Master had died long ago. Her abilities were great but she still didn’t consider herself a Master. She did not receive the benefits of knowing deeper knowledge of the Bending Arts. She looked down at her hands as he continued. It was easy to see he was struggling. Something told her he wasn’t exactly a social butterfly either. When he got to the point of his reason for addressing her she looked up. She was rather let down by his reason. It was unclear to her why. It seemed secretly she had been expecting something more. Being a Waterbender she figured she could not do much to help. Earth and Water are quite opposite but perhaps she could aid him in some way.
Her mouth opened in reply right as Kagoshi sprang up. She chocked off her reply and watched her. She felt a bit sorry for Aina. She knew how much she loved to help others and to have someone bandage them self right in front of her had to be disappointing. She cleaned up her mess and bustled back into the darkness of the house.
Aear listened and had, she was sure, the same reaction as Jin did. Dinner? Well, it was a nice thing to do but rather peculiar. She really wanted no repayment for her help...not that she had been much help. But it seemed the polite thing to do. She was once again cut off as she was about to reply. Jin leapt up and went to the door. She didn’t want him to go. She hadn’t told him her acceptance of his offer and she simply wanted to know more about him. She got to her feet as well and was relieved when he stopped. She looked at Kagoshi then back to Jin. "I'd love to go." she said with a smile. She walked over towards the door but stopped before she reached it and called, "Thanks Aina! I'll see you later!" Her only reply was the faint echo of Aina's fragile voice about the house. She looked back to Kagoshi. "Lead the way."

"Heh, can you wait one sec?" Kagoshi smiled nervously. Then she walked out of the house, went behind it, and punched herself silently in the face. She felt so stupid, that if she hadn't restrained herself, she would have started crying. She rubbed her aching face, and smiled. She walked back in the house, and noticed their slightly confuzzled faces. She gave them a weak smile and shrugged. "Um, meet me in the square at sunset. Then, I can lead you to my house.Don't forget to wear something nice!'Bye," she winked. When they started walking away, she reached out and grabbed Aear's hand.As aear looked back, she silently pulled her to the side of the house. She looked her straight in the eye and grabbed both of her hands. "Look,"Kagoshi sighed,"I'm sorry for this.I'm SORRY.Ok? If you never want to see me again, then I'll understand.I guess I don't know how to make friend's here. And I'm sorry I spied on you. I didn't mean to! I thought I heard a sob. Anyway, here. At least I don't have to live with THIS.Not that I dislike it but...if we say goodbye...and I'm stuck with it..." She pulled a scroll out of her bag as her voice drifted off. On it was a small drawing of Aear. Her hair was in to ponytails attached to a bun on the back of her head, and there was a blonde streak in it. There was an orange bow in her hair and another one around her neck. Aear was wearing a yellow dress with orange trim. There was a bigger orange bow on the back of it. She was wearing yellow boots with orange socks and yellow gloves. She gently gave it to Aear. " I drew it on the rooftop," Kagoshi smiled sadly."You inspired me." She let go of her and started walking away, tears welling in her eyes. Then she stopped and silently yelled at herself.'WHAT were you doing?! Of course she thinks you're the most retarded person EVER!You disgust me, Kagoshi.I can't believe how stupid you are! Plus, did you see their faces when you asked them?! You are TOTALLY bizzare.Seriously!' she thought violently, shaking.
PS: My character likes to punish herself ^^ . PPSS: The only thing I don't like about this forum is that it takes sooo long to answer...heheheh...

Aear watched rather confused as Kagoshi left the house. She looked at Jin but got nothing in return. She returned a moment later and Aear smiled and nodded at her instruction. That gave her a few hours to bathe and get ready. She then exited the house, turning and heading for home when Kagoshi pulled her aside. She held Aear's hands in her own and looked her dead in the eyes.
It came as a bit of a shock at what she was saying. It was though she was trying to make up for something horrible she had done to them. She was not upset that she was watching them; it was not a big deal. She slowly took the scroll she handed her and looked at the drawing. It was very good for a quick sketch. The outfit was unlike anything she had seen in the Earth Kingdom. She wondered if it was from one of the other nations. Kagoshi spoke again and she looked up. Kagoshi's eyes had begun to glass over but she turned and left before Aear had time to say anything to her. It was a shame really. She knew it would be usless to try and bring it up at dinner that night. She would just have to wait for an opportunity to present itself. She cast aside the urge to call after Kagoshi and instead returned to the front of the house where Jin was.
She was still holding the drawing Kagoshi had given her. She couldnt seem to take her eyes off it. "You inspired me." No one had ever spoken such words of admiration to her. She stopped a few feet from Jin then looked up. She let her hands drop to her side, the drawing still clutched in her fingers. "So..." she said, "when do you normally train?"

Jin starred at her. “Training?” he muttered. “Er, right…. Well I haven’t created a formal training schedule quite yet.” Letting blood flush to his face yet again, he struggled to change the subject. All thoughts of finding out more about Aear being brushed away as carelessly as a monk cleaning the temple steps. He now found himself in a very tight pinch and just needed to get away from her.
“Well, that makes no difference at the moment anyway, now does it?” he asked her. “I mean, we both need to get ready for tonight.” He then looked at her hoping beyond all hope that she would drop the training subject for the time being.

Kagoshi stopped yelling at herself . "My drawings?" she asked quietly," Or my bend-" she clasped her hands to her mouth and looked scared. Then she turned around and she saw the girl wasn't talking to her. She looked up at the sky and started walking. "What's the use of staying here if I can't even converse to her?" she mumbled sadly."Even if I do make friends with her, she'll literally kill me if she knows I'm a Fire Bender." She stopped and looked behind into the distance where the girl was talking happily to the boy, her hair waving. "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"she screamed as someone crashed into her. "Hey Kago," a voice said happily. A boy with brown hair and brown eyes smiled at her. "Syaoran!" she sobbed as she sat up and kissed him full on the lips, hugging him after."Oh Sy!"Then she became firm."I almost set you on fire!!!" "Heh, sorry for the landing," Syaoran smiled. "Wassup Kago? Back from the FN?"He stood up. He was wearing a green shirt and matching pants with gold trim. He lifted her up."Seen any BOYS?" He smiled. "Be quiet!" she said laughing, staring over at the girl and boy." Can't you see THOSE lovebirds? Besides, you know I've been waiting for YOU." "Well Kago today IS your B-day... Let's celebrate! That's why I came to find YOU!" Syaoran smiled happily. Kagoshi laughed as she imagined what the girls was thinking. Probably something like, OMIGAWD Kagoshi just kissed some boy. "Well, then come to dinner!" she giggled. PS: Heheh, Like MY Prince Charming? MWUAHAHAHAHA!!!! *evil glare*. JK LOLZ. PPSS: He is exactly like Syaoran LI from CCS. Aear smiled. She could tell he didnt want to discuss training matters right now. Aear heard Kagoshi's voice behind her and another male voice. She looked just in time to see her kiss him. Atleast she wasnt entierly friendless. She turned back to Jin as their words floated towards her. She didnt want to seem like she was eavesdropping herself. "Well, just let me know when you need me. You obviously know where I live." she said giving him a sly smile. She didnt know what else to say so she began to fold the drawing in her hands. "I suppose I better go get washed up then." she said, still fiddling with the drawing. She looked back up into Jin's dark eyes, wishing he would say something.

\\Enormous post. Hope you two like it\\
Jin had noticed Kagoshi was embracing someone down the road a ways. This thought did nothing to help the fact that Aear was staring imploringly into his eyes. He never noticed before how amazing she looked than now with her as close as she was. His stomach seemed to disappear completely as he returned her gaze. He was filled with several urges, part of him was filled with a desire to stay with Aear, but another wanted him to keep his distance. Finally, after an eternity of staring into her blue eyes, he made up his mind.
“I should probably head home aswell,” he said to Aear. Turning slowly away. He took a few steps, but didn’t make it far before he could keep himself from spinning on the spot. He retraced his steps held Aear’s hand up and kissed it gently. “I’m still not finished with you,” he said. “And I want to see the best you’ve got after dinner tonight” he finished. He took his leave and strode off from where she stood.
Feeling slightly lighter than usual and having his stomach return to him as he walked from the center of town he headed toward home. But by the second block, the realization of what was to come brought him back from his momentary state of happiness. His home was far, and sunset was only hours away. He could rush home. But even then he’d probably be late. Ah who was he kidding? He’d have to full sprint, which he knew he couldn’t do the entire way and back, and he’d still be almost an hour late. He found a bench and plopped himself down into the seat.
“So what now?” he said to himself. “Well there’s no point in sittin’ around mopin’ I suppose”. He rose and decided on what to do first; clothes. He need some new threads for a birthday celebration. But he didn’t have much money. Not a stranger to the occasional theft, Jin set out for the wealthiest looking house in the town. He found the enormous mansion shortly after. It was huge! It had its own garden larger than the town square in front and was closed in by vast stone walls encircling the entire estate.
“No one ever said this would be easy,” Jin thought as he admired the wall on the back of the residence. “Oh well. That just means it’ll be easier for them to overlook a missing set of clothing.” He slapped his hands together with a thunderous clap. As he pulled them apart so too the stone wall separated leaving a passageway for him to pass through. After he was safely through the wall and into the enormous garden, he performed a similar technique that closed the wall again. Now imploring his martial arts, he set off around the estate as quietly as he could. There were the occasional guard. But they were far too busy complaining about the masters they worked for to notice Jin as he slipped through the shrubbery.
“If I were laundry, I would be…” Jim muttered to himself as he rounded the edge of a particularly large bonsai tree. “Ah ha! What luck!” he exclaimed as his eyes fell upon some clothes drying in the afternoon sun. They were still a little damp. Perfect! That meant that whomever hung them wouldn’t be back any time soon. He dashed to the clothing and quickly set out to find something that would fit him. “No, no, no” he would say as he looked at each one. Finally he found a rather nice tan shirt and pants and a green Earth Kingdom tunic. He carefully slipped them off the line and made for the bonsai. He then changed into them. He returned to the drying clothes. Left his garments behind with what money he had left.
“That should cover the difference,” he said as he started back toward the wall. He examined again the clothes he pilfered.
“Wait young master!” came a voice from behind him. Jin froze in his tracks. The voice came closer. “Master? Where are you going at this hour?”
The man who had confused Jin for someone else came trotting up behind him. As he drew nearer though, Jin could tell suspicion had caused him to slow down. The second the foot steps stopped completely Jin knew the jig was up and now was a good time to leave.
“Who are you?!” shouted the man. But just as he finished, Jin jumped around and as his feet fell on the earth, he forced his might through his body and caused the soil beneath the man to leap violently upwards. Yelling he flew up and away from Jin, who did not hesitate to run for the wall. Not particularly caring who saw him at this point Jin didn’t bother with merely opening the wall anymore. He instead threw his arms up and then back down. Once they pointed straight toward the ground it leapt up just at it did before. Only this time Jin was accepting its movement. He let it carry him up and clear over the stone wall. Landing with a loud grunt, Jin immediately took off down the nearest alleyway.
“You idiot,” he thought. “You cut it pretty close back there”. But that didn’t keep him from smiling at his own handiwork. “Ok. Got the clothes. What’s next?” he said as he turned down another alleyway. “A bath…”
Through some more slight of hand tricks he managed to pilfer a bar of soap and a clean rag to use for cleaning himself. He couldn’t bathe in a fountain or anything too open. Especially if Aear was to happen on him in that state. The thought of her seeing him washing himself like that made him shudder. “I suppose this will have to do,” he said as he came to the city’s main stables. He let himself in and made quickly towards back where the water was. It was held in large barrels that caught rain water that fell off its vast stippled roofs. He sighed loudly as he stripped down to his undergarments. He then started splashing terrifically cold water onto himself as he scrubbed with the soap and rag. Thus he bathed in the company of many ostrich horses and other large beasts all watching him intently and squawking occasionally. Finally the deed was done. He even managed to wrestle his tunic from a particularly playful ostrich horse without causing it any damage.
“Guess my lucks turning around,” he said to himself looking back on the events that had unfolded during the day and looking forward to what kind of earthbending feats Aear would show him later.
He left the stables and looked to the sky. “Ah, still have some time to practice a bit,” he said to himself looking at how high the sun was. He made for a secluded part behind some houses and performed some very basic earthbending exercises his master had taught him. And then feeling much more relaxed headed for the center of town to meet the two women who had changed his life so much so quickly.

The moment was over as quickly as it hard started. Her hand was still suspended in the air as he left and the spot where his lips had touched seemed to tingle slightly. She then let her arm drop to her side. She shook her head rubbed her forehead, trying to comprehend what just happened. She turned and began to walk towards home, hand still to her forehead.
She began to run through ever nice outfit she had at home in her head as she walked, wanting it to be perfect. As she walked up the front steps she found it. She walked inside. The house seemed empty and she wondered if Cor and Mae had gone out. She didn’t worry herself with this but went straight upstairs to bathe. She filled the tube with water, undressed and got in. She sunk below the surface until it was to the bottom of her nose. Her hair danced eerily around her as she lay in the cool water. She didn’t like hot baths. She then took a breath and submerged herself. She stayed under for quite a while then surfaced and grabbed a bar of soap. She took twice as long as she normally did, going over every inch of herself at least twice and scrubbing her hair with extra care. When she finished, she grabbed a towel and threw it around herself, hair dripping on the floor. She neglected to drain the tub, deciding to let Cor or Mae handle it. Anticipation was driving her to hurry. She went to her room and threw open the closet. A fair amount of garments hung there but she reached for none of them. Instead, she knelt down and took a box from the floor. She placed it on her bed and opened it. Inside was a beautiful pale blue dress. The collar was wide set so a bit of her shoulders would be exposed. Around the collar, the hems of the sleeves and the base of the dress was white embroidering that looked like waves. She ran her fingers over the soft fabric then reached under her bed and pulled out the box that contained her necklace and bracelets. She left them here while she dried and put on her undergarments. She finished hair up in another towel, and took the dress from its case. This was the first time she had ever worn this dress. It had been her mothers and was the only thing she had left of her other then her jewelry. Very carefully, she pulled on the dress. It fit perfectly. She did not put on the jewelry just yet but instead began to rub her hair dry. After a good brush, it shone and looked very unlike it had when Jin first approached her. She threw on a bit of blush, some eye shadow that accentuated her eyes and touch of eyeliner to bring the look together. She was very careful when it came to make-up. She had seen some girls who completely over did it and couldn’t stand it. She put on just enough to give her face a little more flare.
At last, she reached for the jewelry box. As careful as she had been with the dress, she took out each piece separately and put them on. She went over to her mirror and stared at herself. She was very unlike what she normally saw. Being worked to the bone everyday didn’t exactly do much for your appearance. She gave a content smile. It was going to be a good night. She slipped on the dresses matching shoes and went back downstairs.
Cor and Mae were still nowhere to be found. She locked the door on her way out and headed back towards the town square. The sun was sinking low in the sky, sending and orange glow over the town. She reached the square, looked around but did not spot Jin or Kagoshi. It couldn’t be too much longer until they arrived. She was getting many looks from people passing by. She gave them all weak smiles. She did rather stick out amongst everyone else with there usual day clothes on. To try and reduce the number of stares she got, she walked over to a bench that was a ways away from the flow of people heading home and sat down. She set her hands in her lap and waited.

Kagoshi said Good-bye to Syaoran, with instructions to meet her at her house at sunset. Then, she rushed home. Her giant mansion greeted her as she walked through the gate. She ran through the door. "Hi Daddy! I'm home!" she called through the empty house as she rushed to her room. She headed immediately to the chest holding her Mom's clothes. Then she spotted the dress. It was a blue Water Nation dress. She threw off her clothes and slipped the dress on.There was no need to bathe seeing as she had done it in the morning. She started combing her long black hair when she heard a voice shouting. She started, and looked out the window nevously, flames swirling in her hands. Kagoshi's mouth dropped. The boy she had seen earlier was stealing her Father's clothes from the tree they hung it on!The butler was crying out to him, but he was aleady gone. "Stupid Dad," she smiled as she braided her hair, leaving a number of hair on either sides though."That's the second time this week. But I wonder why he called him young master?Bet Dad made him say that...."She giggled at that thought. She quickly put on earrings and a necklace, and painted the tips of her hair blue. Then she grabbed her blue bag and rushed out the door, slipping on shoes as she went. She finally made it to the square, panting. She saw the boy walking. "Hi!" she said, gasping as she caught up to him,"I never heard your name before...." "It's Jin," the boy said. Kagoshi looked at his clothes.Yup, her dad's.She started laughing really hard, unable to contain it. Jin looked confused. "Really, you shouldn't steal pants from the person who invites you to dinner!" she giggled. She was suprised to see the girl sitting on a bench near them, and waved.
Ps: COME ON! Please answer......

Jin finished his practice. It wasn’t especially exhausting. Just as he completed putting all the stones and rubble back into the fence and road it was before he played with them, he had set off for the square. The square was empty save for a handful of people enjoying the dying sun or returning to their homes. He made for a bench but before he could get there he was intercepted by Kagoshi. She asked for his name and after he gave it to her she started laughing. Jin felt like he was missing something, but didn’t bother to say anything. After a while she then revealed that the very clothes he was wearing had come from her own mansion!
He felt his face burning red as he slowly realized exactly what had transgressed. His elated mood was quickly tarnished and his face composed itself into a grim reminder of the very earth he bends.
“I’m sorry for any problems I may have created,” he said in a voice of stone. “I’ll return the clothing and you can keep the ones I left with the money. That’ll surely compensate for any harm I may have caused to these,” he finished, gesturing to the tunic. He then turned and started walking out of the square.

Kagoshi listened to his confession and felt sad to look at his stoney face. Why was he acting like this? She thought it was funny he stole clothes from her! "Wait," Kagoshi sighed, grabbing onto the back of Jin's tunic a she turned around."Why are you acting so depressed?Keep the clothes! My dad has to many anyway...So come on, lets go find your friend,I thought I saw her some where...Oh yeah, there!"She let go of his tunic and ran toward a bench where the girl was sitting. "Hi! We're all here now.Let's go!" she smiled to the girl, twirling around.

Aear sat in silence, staring at her hands. She didnt notice that Jin and Kagoshi had both arrived in the square. She soon heard footsteps growing louder and louder so she looked up. Kagoshi had come over. She looked around to spot Jin stand a few feet away looking very handsome. "Hi." Aear replied shortly, standing up and brushing off her dress. She ran her fingers through her hair nervously. She began to wonder if this was a bad idea. She wanted to run home right now but fought the urge and stood her ground. She watched Kagoshi spin around, thinking she was way to excited about this whole affair for her own good. She stepped to the side and waved at Jin, smiling nervously.

"Let's go!" Kagoshi smiled happily as she bounded off toward her house."Oh and by the way, is your name Aear? I heard that name while I was talking to Jin.Folllow me!" She quickly lead them to her house."Home.." she sighed as she opened the giant doors. "DAD! I'm home! And I brought...um...friends..." she called. Then she turned around and smiled weakly at them."Is it ok if I call you that?"

Jin’s expression was solid. He was torn between embarrassment, fear and frustration at his own foolishness. He had turned to leave but was held up by Kagoshi. Her words did little to make him feel better. Jin had no interest in stealing from people he knew. But then, just before he could truly make his way out of the square, Kagoshi had pulled him in the direction of Aear, who apparently had been sitting on a bench a short ways away. Aear stood as Kagoshi drew near. As they exchanged hellos, Jin looked over Kagoshi. Her blue dress was rather pretty, albeit disheveled like she threw it on quickly. As his mind returned to the idea of getting away from this whole mess Aear stepped to the side to great Jin. Any thoughts of leaving instantly evaporated. Aear stood there with a small smile and waved at him. She was absolutely stunning. If he had glanced at her he would never have thought twice that she was the same Aear who worked in her parent’s fruit shop. Her hair was smooth and dazzling in the sinking sun. Her dress was so beautiful that it looked like it came straight from the Spirit of the Moon’s personal wardrobe. Her face was done up very elegantly and was only matched in radiance by the fine bracelets and necklace she wore. Jin felt his stony disposition crumble like a boulder being worked over by the very best Earthbending Masters. He had forgotten everything. He could barely bring himself to lift his arm to return the wave Aear had given him.
Before he could regain his thoughts, he was whisked away by Kagoshi towards her home. It was probably for the best that he was memorized by Aear, lest he be reminded that not only had he seen these very gates earlier, but that he had penetrated them and in some weird way, was returning the clothes he had stolen.
Kagoshi was speaking to them both, but he didn’t hear. His brain had turned to gravel. He simply let himself be lead into the estate.

Aear watched Jin's complexion change dramatically as he looked at her. He had appeared rather gloomy before and she wondered what had made him seem so. She put her hand down and let her smile grow a bit. Blood rushed to her cheeks, making it look as if she had added even more blush. She had never in her life presented herself in such a fashion. It was an odd experience for her. She walked after Kagoshi as she bounced off, eyes all the while on Jin. She mumbled a yes to Kagoshi’s question and continued to follow her and Jin.
As they went, Aear tried to stop herself stealing glances at Jin but couldn’t. The dress fluttered around her ankles as she walked. It bugged her a bit as she was so use to pants. They soon reached the gates. Aear had seen this house once before and that was long ago when she had passed by on her way to…Well, it didn’t matter now. She hadn’t done that in many years. Fear then gripped Aear as she stepped into the house and she let out a small gasp. She had just recalled Jin wanting to see her bending after dinner. It had been so long since she had practiced she wasn’t sure she could do it. Worry was etched on her face now. She stared at the floor now, trying to think of a way out of this mess. When her Master was still alive, she had been quite a skilled bender. Now, so many years later with no practice under her belt, she didn’t know what her capabilities were anymore. She didn’t want to look like an idiot in front of Jin. She snapped her head up as Kagoshi questioned them. “Sure, yeah, fine; friends to the end.” she rambled in response.
She then looked to Jin, a nervous smile once again on her face. “Jin, can I talk to you alone for a second?” she asked, her voice a bit higher then usual. She looked at Kagoshi. “We’ll be just a minute.” she said as politely as she could. Aear then grabbed Jin’s hand and pulled him back outside. She turned him so they were facing each other and looked straight into his eyes once more. Aear took a moment, taking short breaths, trying to find the right words to say. She gave up and said the only thing that came to mind. “I can’t do this.” she blurted out.

The spell that kept Jin from stringing two thoughts together was shattered as Aear broke down in front of him. “I can’t do this,” she moaned.
“Wha—What? What can’t you do? Go to dinner? Are you feeling ok?” Jin asked. He stepped closer to Aear and held her shoulders. “You don’t have to go to dinner,” he whispered.

Aear's eyes began to glisten with tears. She looked down at her feet. "No, not dinner. I feel fine." she said softly. Her body tingled as he grabbed her shoulders. His grip was strong and firm. She looked back up to see him standing even closer. "I dont know if I can....if I can..." She could seem to get the words out. She felt so ashamed. She wiped away the tears that had fallen from her eyes and took a deep breath. "I dont know if I can come with you after dinner." she said finally.
